Banky W Finally Opens Up On The Wizkid/EME Saga

When you released that album there was something a lot of people noticed?

Let me tell you that Wizkid wasn’t on the album. First of all, I want to say that what we like to call“Bad Belle People” because they think there may be bad news and when you don’t give them that news they start to create it because I guess bad news sells more than good news. While I was going through my twitter feed last night, I noticed an “out of the ordinary” tweet from Banky W. On a good day, Banky doesn’t tweet like that and so I decided to do some snooping around.

Banky W Opens Up About Wiz Kid’s Issues – “Wizkid Is Still With Us”

Banky W has finally decided to open up on the differences between him, EME and Wizkid. For some funny reason(s), he’s been systematically avoiding the questions about their issues on twitter.

Here is what he told silverbird

“Wizkid is going international and as a result we have to re-negotiate the contract he signed. Wizkid has his own idea of how he wants to do things and he has plans for himself too. Wizkid is still with us, there’s no problem, things will be sorted out soon”

Wizkid To Float His Own Music Label Soon???

Its no longer news that Wizikid and EME Management are presently at war. But what is news is that there are rumours that Wizkid is set to float his own Record Label soon.

Wizkid has been in London shooting the video of his song “Azonto”. The music video will be premiered on the 15th of February, same day as Banky W’s Valentine concert in Lagos. Coincidence  I really don’t think so.

From what I’ve heard, the new label will be called “Starboy Entertainment”. Stay tuned.

Between Wizkid And EME Records…

The split between Banky W and Wizkid, inside sources say, resulted from an alleged high difference in what Banky W gets from revenues made by the young star, Wizkid.

The ‘injustice’, according to what WE gathered, has been bothering Wizkid until he summoned the courage to ask for an improved contract from Banky W, which hit him (Banky) by surprise.

“You know Wizkid is the backbone of EME music label. The boy (Wizkid) feels that Banky W has been milking too much from him with the large chunk of what Banky W takes from what the boy makes.
